Khoj 2017 Indore was the beginning of the Khoj Journey for Z nation Lab and for every individual who is to be a part of the Khoj Journey in the near or distant future. Khoj 2017 Indore was the first step towards betterment, innovation and most importantly towards ideas that form the business infrastructure of this country. 23rd January marked the beginning of the first Khoj event In Indore with association with IIM – Indore’s E cell division.
As the event progressed our Key Note Speakers, Mr. G Ramchandran – mentor capitalist and Venture partner( Z nation Lab ) and Mr. Paras Saklecha – Founder Yuvam, came and spoke about ” Startup ecosystem flourishing in tier 2 cities” How private players are doing double the work and adding great support in boosting the entrepreneur scene in India.
This was followed by Panel discussion on Entrepreneurship growth in M.P – Challenges & Opportunity by Panelists Mr.Varun Kapoor – IG Indore, Mr. Jayesh Patel – Principle Osco International, Mr. Manish Vaswani – Founder FulScoop, Mr. Abhishek Sanghvi –Founder Swan Angel, Mr.Atul Bharat – Founder IEN. Some fantastic insights were provided on the condition for businesses in MP and of their growth thereof.
The Panel discussion was followed by an Entrepreneurial talk which was on Fundraising & Scale-up – Beyond M.P & Globally by Panelists of the likes of Aditi Chaurasiya – co-founder Engineerbabu, Alok Mandaugane –Founder, Hindu calendar, Vinay Singhal – Founder Wittyfeed, Gaurav Sharma.
In the course of the event, Startup pitches were up next. With 72 entries received the most competent were chosen to have their ideas pitched in front of the panel. Entrepreneurs presented their ideas in front of a jury which consisted of Mr. Jay Kothari – MD Panjon India, Mr. Sawan Laddha – Founder M.P Angel Network, Prof. Bhatta ( IIM Indore ), Prof. Sunder ( IIM Indore ), Mr. G Ramchandran ( Mentor & Startup Evangelist Mumbai ) in a room that was filled with 45+ investors. A plethora of new ideas was discussed and every entrepreneur presented themselves in the most zealous manner possible. These budding entrepreneurs soared high beyond the myriad of mediocre startups and wowed the jury.
Anaxee was announced as the winner of Khoj 2017 Indore thus ending the magnanimous event. The event would not have been possible without our partners at Your Story, IIM Indore, Swan Angel Network, MP Angel Network, Linktites, Indian Angel Network, Fullscoop, Lead Angels, Headstart, My cute office, and The Hacker Street.
Khoj, as the word suggests is a search for entrepreneurs, for ideas and most importantly for innovation. Khoj is a venture of Z Nation Lab curated in order to nurture and support worthy ideas in order to infuse innovation into SME’s MSME & Corporates in India. Innovation is at the core of Khoj, where the idea is to bring together the entire ecosystem to collaborate, network and to find the right connects. It is a competition where entrepreneurs pitch their ideas and present themselves in front of a jury of investors and entrepreneurs alike. The one, most deserving startup will be called to Mumbai for the finals where they stand a chance to obtain funding, tech validations, scaling up opportunities and Z Nation Lab partnership programs as well.
